Pamela Almond Lowder Obituary

Pamela Almond Lowder, 76, of Albemarle, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2023 in her home. Her funeral service will be 2pm Friday, January 27, 2023 in the Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care Chapel of Albemarle with Rev. Brian Myer officiating. Burial will follow in Stanly Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 12pm until 1:45pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lowder was born November 17, 1946 in Stanly County, NC to the late Hubert Lemuel Almond and Helen Louise Gibson Almond. She was a graduate of Wingate College and Mars Hill University. Pamela retired as an Elementary School Teacher. She was a member of Barbee's Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Lowder loved flower gardening, her grandchildren, the Bible, talking about Jesus to others and was a wonderful Pastor's wife.

Pamela is survived by her husband, Rev. Ed Lowder of the home. She is also survived by a son, Stephen Lowder (Jana) of Creswell, Oregon; a daughter, Sarah Myer (Brian) of Queensland, Australia; two brothers, Ken Almond (Lesa) of Asheboro, NC and Tim Almond (Fran) of Polkton, NC; a sister, Jill Cowles (David) of Concord, NC and four grandchildren, Madeline and Elijah Lowder of Oregon and Hannah and Maggie Myer of Australia.
