He is survived by: his children, Fred Charles of Milpitas, CA, Sylvia Charles of Mount Gilead, NC and Sam Charles (Christy) of Albemarle, NC; his grandchildren, Ashley Bradley (Travis), Skye Merino (Steve), Nathaniel Yarber and Andrew Charles; his great grandchildren, Kyle, Bentley, Trevor Bradley, Azul and Evan Marino; his siblings, Gloria Garcia, Robert Charles, Mary Sanchez and Orfa Vargas; and his extended family, Zachary Scott, Tesia Talbert and Kaitlin Deberry.
