He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Stanback and Anna Stanback; and his wife Jean. He is survived by: his children, Daphne Pemberton of Asheboro, NC, Kosha Medley John (Paul) of Maryland, Kay Armstrong and Ray Armstrong of Troy, NC; his sisters, Eva Dykes of Mt. Gilead, NC and Sandra Barnaby of Brooklyn, NY; and his close friend Viane "Sis" Medley. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren.
