She is survived by: her mother Shirley Ann Houston Beachum; her children, Patricia Shaffer (Justin), Kenny Akers (Christy), Jennifer Hudson (John) and Amanda Rounds; her grandchildren, Nicole, Adam Jr., Jackie, Marien, Justin Jr., Carol, Brook, Nina, Kendon, Jayden, Kayden, Keelee, Shawn, Tyler, John, Natalie and Teagan; her siblings, Aaron Akers, Stephanie Blalock, Peggy Fury, Frankie Reed and Ethel Hines; and her husband Richard Allen Bowen. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
