As we bid Melanie farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Melanie is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Joseph Long and Edna Parrish Long. She is survived by: her husband Gray Troxler; her children, Piper Troxler of Badin, NC, Peyton Troxler of Norwood, NC and Andrew Tucker (Chelsie) of Concord; and her granddaughter IsaBelle.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calvary Lutheran Church (950 Bradley St NE, Concord, NC 28025). Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
