She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Benjamin McLain and Margaret Ruth Turnage McLain; her husband William F. "Doc" Watson; her granddaughter Courtney Carithers; her stepson Thomas Reynolds; and her siblings, J. D. McLain and Sara Lajeunesse.
She is survived by: her daughters, Gerrie Watson of Myrtle Beach, SC and Hazel Irby of Albemarle, NC; her grandchildren, Jeff Watson of Myrtle Beach, SC, Stephanie Burgos (Ryan) of Henderson, NC and Nathan Irby (Megan) of Holly Springs, NC; her great grandchildren, Faith Carithers, Wren Watson, Jonah Frazier Watson, Garrett Watson, Savannah Irby, Lincoln Irby, Jaxson Irby and Zack Kaneshige; and her sister Nancy Perdue of Patrick, SC..
