She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlie J. Almond and Sarah Frances Barbee Almond; and her brothers, Jerry Almond and Buddy Almond. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Blane Hathcock; her son Tony Hathcock (Lisa) of Oakboro, NC; her grandchildren, Matthew Hathcock (Emily) of Oakboro, NC and Denea Harwood (Joe) of Locust, NC; her stepgrandchildren, Alyssa Munyer (Daniel) of Concord, NC, Amber Harkey of Oakboro, NC and Alex Harkey (Ali) of Midland, NC; and her siblings, Jimmy Almond, Elaine Barrier (Hoyle), Jane Creed, Larry Almond and Nancy Childers (Tommy). She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Prospect Baptist Church (502 Prospect Church Rd, Albemarle, NC 28001). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prospect Baptist Church.
