He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence C. Hatley and Evelyn Laton Hatley; his son Benjamin Dale Hatley; and his brother Joel C. Hatley. He is survived by: his wife Denise Hatley of Albemarle; his daughter Chanda Waller (Terry) of Albemarle; his stepmother Jo Hatley; his siblings, Darrell Hatley (Debbie) of Lincolnton, Inga Koujak (Ray) of Kernersville, Warren Hatley (Crystal) of Albemarle and Lauri Jo Sides (Louie) of Albemarle; and his grandchildren, Terin, Sophie Waller, Gracie and Micah Hatley.
