He was predeceased by: his parents, Quince Efird and Velma Kimrey Efird; and his brother Darrell Efird. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Dare Efird; his children, Jeffrey L. Efird (Michelle) of Duluth, GA and Meica Wyland of Greenville, SC; his grandchildren, Jessica Efird (Sabino), Nicholas Efird (Emily), Isabella Wyland, Jack Wyland, Samuel Wyland, Katelyn Wyland and Benjamin Wyland; his siblings, Harold Efird and Ann; his brother-in-law Jerry Rawlinson; and his sisters, Regina Breeden, Janice Rodilosso (Phil) and Debra Bowers (Kenny).
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Edwards Funeral Homes (120 College St, Norwood, NC 28128). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Silver Springs Baptist Church (16072 NC-138, Norwood, NC 28128).
