He was predeceased by: his mother Carolyn Barbee; his stepfather Clarence Barbee; his brother David Russell; and his granddaughter Adelle'Hargest. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Russell; his daughters, Jacki Helms (Nick) and Jessi Hargest (Michael); his grandchildren, Eva Claire, Susanna Helms and Thomas Hargest; and his sisters, Donna Ragsdale (Allen Davidson) and Karen Morris (Todd). He is also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care - Albemarle (1835 Badin Rd, Albemarle, NC 28001). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at 1501 NC-24, Albemarle, NC 28001.
