He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Burris and Theresa Burris; his wife Jahala Burris; and his grandson Joshua Furr. He is survived by: his sons, Charles Burris (Angie) of Albemarle and Johnny Burris (Tari) of Greensboro; his grandchildren, Jarad Furr, Amanda Davis (Michael), Jessica Burris and Katherine Athorn (Jonny); his great grandchildren, Skyler, Kirra, Gavin and Colbie; his sisters, Pat Shaver (Darryl) and Betty Napier; and his sisters-in-law, Myrtle Stone and Jane Burris.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care - Albemarle (1835 Badin Rd, Albemarle, NC 28001).
