She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Lee Owens and Betty Mae Ussery Owens. She is survived by: her children, Christopher Jay Leonard (Lynn) of Albemarle and Kristy Nicole Hornsbee of Florida; her adoptive son Charles Stephens III; and her siblings, Buddy Owens, Stella Thomas and Denise Wilson (Ken).
