He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Durant Whitley and Cora Jane Whitley; his wife Ramona Speight Whitley; and his siblings, Cora Lee Crisco, Myrtle Lou Teeter, Zeb V. Whitley, Hugh Grant Whitley, Earl Durant Whitley and John Thomas Whitley.
He is survived by: his children, Ronald Clyde Whitley of Albemarle, NC, Phillip Edward Whitley (Kathryn) of Marietta, GA and Donna Sides (Edwin) of Albemarle, NC. He is also survived by grandchildren and 9 wonderful great-grandchildren.
