She was predeceased by: her father Joseph Cleveland Leonard; her husband Harold Leroy Dennis; her grandsons, Steven Dale Surratt and Kevin Ray Lundy, Sr.; and her sister Grace Leonard Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Leroy Dennis (Connie) of Albemarle, NC, Linda D. Boone (George) of Albemarle, NC, Delores D. Poplin (Louie) of New London, NC and Cynthia D. Merritt (Tony Clark) of Norwood, NC; and her siblings, Rev. Joseph Leonard (Diane) of Goldsboro, NC, David Leonard (Sandra) of Lincolnton, NC, Ina Stancil of Salisbury, NC, Priscilla Cutts of Henderson, NC and Marion Capel (Don) of Bessmer City, NC. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren and twenty-one great-great-grandchildren.
