He is survived by: his mother Rebecca Huddleston Bates; his wife Tammy Holshouser Bates; his brothers, Mike Bates (Deborah) of Tallassee, AL and Craig Bates (Terri) of Murfreesboro, TN; his stepchildren, Brittany Baucom, McKenzie Watts, Ryan Allison and Lindy Nunn; his stepgrandchildren, Jack Nunn, Jadon, Kyle and Michael Allison; and his nieces and nephews, Caitlin Bates, Baylee Bates, Johnnie Bates and Hayley Daniels.
