With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean Goad Rabe of Albemarle, North Carolina, who passed away on February 12, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Goad and Patra Goad; and her husband Grady Thomas Rabe, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Lynn R. Poplin (Gerald) of Albemarle, NC and Carol J. Rabe of Charlotte, NC; her grandchildren, Dustin L. Poplin (Carla) of Albemarle, NC and Beverly P. Steinhaus (Nick) of Columbia, SC; and her great grandchildren, Braden, Sophie Poplin and Jack Steinhaus.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle (522 N 2nd St, Albemarle, NC 28001).
