It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Calvin Herlocker Jr. of Albemarle, North Carolina, who passed away on January 8, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Calvin Herlocker, Sr. and Mabel Speights Herlocker; his siblings, Linda Sue Sides (Dickie), Carolyn Sides (Butch) and Keith Herlocker; his siblings-in-law, Eva Mae Almond, Freida Almond and Larry Almond; and his mother-in-law Pauline Almond.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret A. Herlocker; his daughters, Angie Pugh (Ronnie) of Albemarle and Krystal Carriker of Albemarle; his grandchildren, Jody Carriker, Tayler Carriker, Alex Carriker, Samantha Pugh (Sammy Stapp) and Brady Pugh; his great grandchildren, Hayden Carriker, Shea Stamper, Grayson Carriker and Waylon James; his brother Tommy Herlocker (Patsy); and his siblings-in-law, W. D. Almond, Pat Almond and Linda Herlocker. He is also survived by two beautiful daughters, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
