He was predeceased by: his daughter Vickie Sue Strickland; his siblings, Graham Poston and Elizabeth (Larry); and his mother-in-law Maggie Hammonds. He is survived by: his children, Horace Strickland, Jr. (Crystal), Teresa Helms (Chris) of New London, NC, Terry Strickland (Heather) of Albemarle, NC and Jennifer Strickland (Nick Blake) of Troy, NC.; and his great grandchildren, Baylee, Lane, Coyt Strickland, Jolene Hartsell, Kyle and Miles Page.
