She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Faye and Jettie Mae Chandler Dennis; her husband Paul Sasser; and her siblings, Margaret Hicks, Mary Louise Burris, Ann Clark, Jessie Dennis and Larry Dennis.

She is survived by: her siblings, Irene Jeffreys and Dr. Bob Dennis. She is also survived by twelve nieces and nephews; numerous great nieces and nephews and several great-great nieces and nephews.
