He was predeceased by: his parents, Gurney Ernest Hatley Sr. and Lula Hatley Hatley; and his wife Jo Anna Starr Hatley. He is survived by: his sons, Brad Hatley (Kristi) of Misenheimer, R. Kyle Hatley (Tonya Tarlton) of Charlotte and Eric L. Hatley (Kristy Jo) of Harrisburg; and his sisters, Libby Eudy of Albemarle, Jewel Joyner of Albemarle and Marie Holt of Albemarle. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
