He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Burleson and Mae Lomax Burleson. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Almond Burleson; his daughters, Tonita B. Watts (Bill) of Chesapeake, VA. and Teresa B. Creech of Rock Hill, SC; his stepson Brian W. Smith (Heather) of Durham, NC; his grandchildren, Travis Head of Blacksburg, VA, Maggie Creech of Richmond, VA and Betsy Creech of Nashville, TN; and his stepgrandsons, Ben and Elliot Smith of Durham, NC..

“Theresa, I’m terribly sad to hear that you’ve lost your father. No one can replace our dads and we will miss them forever. It sounded like he lived a full, productive and happy life.
