It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emma Jean Hamilton Broadway of Albemarle, North Carolina, who passed away on October 12, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Reverend Lonnie June Hamilton and Mary Mildred Hubbard Hamilton; and her siblings, Willie Hamilton, Charles Hamilton, Lynwood Hamilton, Amos Timothy Hamilton, Randy Dale Hamilton, Loretta Harris and Shirley Hamilton Davis.

She is survived by: her children, Marion Rorie (Walter), Irish House, Jesse Broadway, Jamila Davis (William), Jewell Broadway and Jaruis Broadway; her grandchildren, Jasmine Rorie, Jaydan Broadway, Jon-V Broadway, Jaxon Davis, Mackenzie Davis, Madison Davis and William Davis III; her siblings, Ernest Hamilton, Jesse Hamilton and Reverend Judy Little (Oscar); her goddaughters, Courtnie Coble and Tori Thibodo; and her friends, Karen Jinks, Della Burleson, Doris Herlocker, Roberta Breeden, Sharon Little, Brenda McCrae and Rhonda Ann Vinson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
