She was predeceased by: her parents, Matthew Barbee and Annie Barbee; her husband J. C. Gibson; her son Jeffrey Gibson; and her siblings, Estelle Doyon, Pauline Mills (Buck) of Alleen Sides, J. D., Grace Hatley and Jessie Lowder.
She is survived by: her son Tony; her grandchildren, Jarrod (Emily) of Belmont, NC and Andrea Gibson (John Finley) of Mount Holly, NC; her great grandchildren, Jacob Gibson, Violet Gibson and Willow Finley; and her nieces, Rita Wood and Brenda Callicutt.
