He was predeceased by: his parents, Dexter William and Nezzie Burris Coley; and his siblings, Edyce Hartsell, Gladys Smith, Henry Lee Coley of Evelyn Steen, J. B, Ikey Coley, Gene Coley and Linda Sue Parker.
He is survived by: his wife Thelma Smith Coley; his children, Nelson Dulin Coley of Albemarle and Darlene Coley Kepley (Jeff) of Albemarle; his sister Margie Coley Efird of Norwood; his grandchildren, Jennifer Deese (Jeff), Michelle Cratty (Shane), Brandon, Tiffany, Cody Coley, Emily Dorsett (Jerry), Jacob Coley, Kris and Kyle Kepley; his great grandchildren, Daniel (Kalyn), Katelyn, Karson, Dawson, Lindi, Grace Anne and Cashman; and his great great grandchild Jackson Paul. He is also survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and now great-great grandchild.
