She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore R. Hammer and Conie McNeill Hammer; her husband Roy Pines Efird; and her siblings, Betty Jean Hammer, Ernest "Buddy" Hammer and David T. Hammer.
She is survived by: her children, Stephen Roy Efird (Debbie) and Sandra Efird Carter of Albemarle; her grandchildren, Ashley Carter (Jennifer) of Albemarle, Tyler Efird of Santa Rosa, California, Matthew Carter (Pia) of Charlotte and Lindsey Carter Kohles (Ben); her great grandchildren, Ava, Henry, Mila and Lukas; her brother Wayne; and her sisters-in-law, Diane Hammer and JoAnn Hammer of Asheboro. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
