He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Lee Whitley and Peggy Jean Burris Whitley. He is survived by: his pets, Lucky and Lacy; his sons, Bryan Whitley of Norwood and Gregg Whitley (Anita) of Indian Trail; his brothers, Steve Whitley (Mary Ann) of Salisbury and Gary Whitley (Lou) of Badin; his stepgrandson Hunter Zado; his niece Christy Russell; and his nephews, Gary Lee Whitley Jr. and Cary Hinson.
