It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darryl Virgil Currie Sr. (Albemarle, North Carolina), who passed away on March 16, 2022, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Currie and Maxine Harris Currie. He is survived by: his children, Tamara Thomas (JT) and Darryl Currie Jr.; his grandchildren, Jerry Thomas III, Miles Thomas, Shaniya Lindsey, Elizabeth Thomas and Kyla Currie; his former wife Ruth Dorman; and his siblings, Edmond A. Currie (Eva), Erwin "Kim" Currie, Chris C. Currie, Lester E. Currie (Tabitha), Alvin A. Currie (Crissy), Brian Currie, Lisa Rickett (Clarence) and Kendra Currie Bannerman. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
