She was predeceased by: her father Douglas Deese. She is survived by: her mother Kay Leonard Deese; her son Douglas Perry (Emily Purvis) of Badin, NC; her brother Calvin Deese; her nephew Adam Whitten; and her close friends, Julie Aldridge and Marie Starnes (Mark Mauldin).
