He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Talbert and Vernie Talbert; his son Gary Talbert; his sister Evelyn Eagle; and his former wife Phyllis Efird Talbert.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Talbert; his son Tony Talbert of Albemarle; his stepchildren, Kathy Collingwood (Dale) and Michael Cooke (Eva); and also Jan Burris. He is also survived by six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.
