With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Burleson of Albemarle, North Carolina, who passed away on August 16, 2021 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Jay Brice Burleson; her parents, Grover Baxter Russell and Leola Poplin Russell of Virginia; her brother Mac Durwood Russell; and her stepfather Earl Jason Huneycutt.
She is survived by: her daughters, Wanda Furr (Richard) of Albemarle, Ginger Turner (Dent) of Albemarle and June Russell (Tim) of Albemarle; her grandchildren, Dent H. Turner, III, Kyle Turner (Candace), Ashley Carpenter (Brandon) and Nathan Furr (Katie); her great grandchildren, Emrie, Olivia, Isla Furr, Charlie, Sam Carpenter, Brody Atkinson, Cash, Kylie and Carsyn Turner; and her brothers, Robert Reynolds Russell, Dairy and Farm.
