She was predeceased by: her parents, George A. Lowder and Linnie H. Lowder; her husband Ernest Bowers; and her siblings, Max Lowder and Patricia "Pat" Furr.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Ernest Bowers (Gigi) of Albemarle and Susan Bowers Starks (Chris) of Charlotte; and her grandchildren, Alexandra, Alaina and Leyton. She is also survived by two nieces; eight nephews; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly & The Uwharrie, 960 North First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.
