It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernice Barringer Whitley of Albemarle, North Carolina, who passed away on August 20, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Woodrow Barringer; her husband A. D. 'Jim Whitley; and her grandson Logan Monk. She is survived by: her children, Cindy Dry (Benton), Lydia Monk (Kenny) and John Whitley (Kathy); her grandchildren, Ashley Aaron (David), Jackie Flake, Chelsea Dunston (Patrick), Jonathan Dry (Erin) and David Dry (Lauren); her great grandchildren, Aubrey, Austin Aaron, Mollie, Madeline Dunston, Colby, Max Dry, Hope and Levi Dry; and her siblings, Calvin Barringer, Frances Barnes, Grace Clark, Nina Whitley (Roger) and Judy Boger (Jim). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
