With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Woody Frederick of Albemarle, North Carolina, born in Roxboro, North Carolina, who passed away on November 6, 2024 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Jennings and Myrtice Brooks Woody; and her husband Leon Frederick. She is survived by: her children, John Frederick of Greenville, SC, Charles Frederick (Sandy) of Asheville and Laura Averette (Brad) of Apex; her grandchildren, Brooks Frederick (Stephanie) of Denver, CO, Anna Nichols (Christopher) of Cary, Marshall Dobbins (Jonny) of Charlotte and Lydia Averette of Raleigh; her great grandchildren, Julia, Molly Nichols, Whitley Dobbins, Kevin and Azariah Bryant; and her brother James J. Woody, Jr. (Darcus) of Roxboro.

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (202 N 2nd St, Albemarle, NC 28001). A burial was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location. Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
