He was predeceased by: his parents, John Carl Hudson, Sr. and Ivy Pansy Hudson (Patrum); and his siblings, Michael Phemon Hudson, John Carl Hudson, Jr. and Sarah Victoria Webster "Shine".
He is survived by: his son Dr. William Paul Hudson Jr.; his sister Mary Elizabeth "Peck" Faircloth of Reidsville; and his pet Jilly.
