He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Clarence Jones and Ollie Poteat Jones; his wife Marcella Gant Jones; his grandson Anthony; and his siblings, Clarence Jones, Woodrow Jones, James E. Jones, Odell Saunders, Jerrine Russell and Willie Kimber.
He is survived by: his friend Maverick; his children, Rita Jones, Rhonda Snipes, Cynthia Jones and Robert Jones, Jr.; his grandchildren, Brandy Lipford (Forrest), Kristopher Snipes, Alexander Snipes and Xavier Jones; his great grandchildren, Stormii Lipford and Easton Lipford; and his sister Ella Fulp. He is also survived by nieces & nephews, relatives and friends.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Alamance Memorial Park (4039 S Church St, Burlington, NC 27215).
