He was predeceased by: his spouse Lucille "Coonie" Busick Zimmerman; and his brother Wade Zimmerman. He is survived by: his daughter Cindy Z. Jones; his friend Mac Beard; his grandchildren, Matthew Thaxton (Pam), Cristin Hightower (Torrey) and Chris Jones; his friend Sylvia Ryals; his brother Worth Zimmerman (Sarah); and also, Camille Thaxton (Kent) and Jennifer Whitehead (Robert). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
