With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Norman Ray Wagoner of Alamance, North Carolina, born in Burlington, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 1, 2025 at the age of 82. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elsie Mae Wells Wagoner and James D. Wagoner; his siblings, Robert "Bobby D" Wagoner, Joe Wagoner, Dolly "Dot" Leonard and Jeanne Long; and his grandchildren, Kaleb Curtis and Elianna "Ellie" Lutterloh.
He is survived by: his wife Velma Koonce Lutterloh Wagoner; his children, Darin Ray Wagoner (Amber), Tammy Wagoner Cody Strader (Wayne), April Lutterloh Smith (Elton), Adam Lutterloh (Kimberly) and Kyle Lutterloh (Nelly); his grandchildren, Brooke Cody, Madison Wagoner, Zyan Baswell (Meagan), Jordan Smith (Taylor), Haley Smith (Nick), Capri Curtis, Lilly Freeman, Cameron, Blake, Oakley, Jonah Lutterloh, Lupita Toledo (Frank), Edvardo and Jose Arredondo; and his great grandchildren, Ryker Baswell, Dyana and Alexander Toledo. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory (2205 S Church St, Burlington, NC 27215). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel (2205 S Church St, Burlington, NC 27215). A burial was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Alamance Memorial Park (4039 S Church St, Burlington, NC 27215).
