She was predeceased by: her parent Morgan Massie; her former husband William Johnson; and her daughter Sheri Johnson Thomas. She is survived by: her parent Louzelia Pulliam Massie; her husband Herbert Marshall Vermilya; her children, Kristi Johnson, Barry Johnson (Terra), Steve Vermilya (Terri) and Michael Vermilya (Brenda); and her sister Effie Rush. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
