He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Samuel Joe and Elizabeth Lucille Ashby Helms; his wife Becky Helms; his daughter Amy Rebecca Bowes; his grandchildren, Steven Drake Bowes and Daisy Lyn Bowes; and his siblings, Jo Alice Dickerson (Gary), Yvonne Bright (Randy), Penny Capps (Paul) and Dean Helms.
