She was predeceased by: her parents, William Henry Allen Birdwell Sr. and Margaret Isabelle Birdwell; her father-in-law Josiah Njagu; and her niece Adrian Scott. She is survived by: her siblings, William Jr. (Bill), Teresa and Charles (CC); her mother-in-law Violet Njagu; her siblings-in-law, Jean Njagu, Taylor Njagu and Kudzai Njagu; and her nieces and nephews, Leslie Freeman, Desha Scott, Clark Whitsett (Eli), Nathaniel Joe, Kaydence Scott-McCoo, Trayvion McCoo, Rome Morrow Jr., Tendekai Morrow, Sharné Morrow, Tadiwa Njagu, Munyaradzi Njagu and Vimbai Njagu. She is also survived by 3 children and 2 grandchildren.

Georgia always valued education and established a foundation of lifelong learning, which was embodied by all of her children.
