With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ervin Gray Payne in Alamance, North Carolina, who passed away on September 5, 2021 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Levi Payne and Virginia Payne; his sister Kathy; and his half-sisters, Elsie and Mae.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Clapp Payne; his children, Bryan Payne (Elizabeth) and Megan Payne (Dustin Sloop); and his grandchildren, Taylor Payne, Jake Payne and Hunter Harrison. He is also survived by 4 sisters, 2 brothers, nieces, nephews, in-laws and countless other family members.
