He is survived by: his wife Cynthia D. Whitaker; his daughter Ashley Whitaker; his parents, William E. Whitaker, Sr. and Virginia Jenkins Whitaker of Ahoskie, NC; his siblings, Eugenia Whitaker of Winton, NC, Sonya Whitaker of Knightdale, NC, Danny Whitaker (Tonya) of Clifton, NJ and James Whitaker, Sr. (Kay) of Durham, NC; and his father-in-law Delhart Dempsey of Ahoskie, NC. He is also survived by cousins, other family members and friends.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church (600 N Catherine St, Ahoskie, NC 27910).
