She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Whitfield and Matilda Chamblee Whitfield. She is survived by: her daughter Gloria Hyman of Ahoskie, NC; and her siblings, Annie Whitfield of Henderson, NC, Jane Whitfield of Durham, NC and Harmon Whitfield, Jr. of Baltimore, MD. She is also survived by three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
