She was predeceased by: her parents, Phate Nathaniel Hodges and Annie Elizabeth McLawhorn Hodges; the father of her children Leslie Pierce; her husband Oliver Pierce; her son Wayne Pierce; her great grandchild Jordan; her stepchildren, Betty Jo and Keith; and her siblings, Helen (Marty) of Chocowinity, Randy Hodges of Charlotte and Lindy Hodges (Myrtle) of Chesapeake, VA.
She is survived by: her children, Joan Pierce, Connie Ann Pierce, Steven Nathaniel Pierce of Ahoskie and Terry Alan Pierce of Ahoskie; her grandchildren, Catherine Morris Harrell (Kevin) of Ahoskie, Melanie April Pierce of Ahoskie, Kari Tibbits (Kenny) of Virginia Beach, VA, Terri Lynn White of Gates County, Tammy Monique Pierce, Rachel Pierce of San Antonio, TX, Jason Mack Evans (Morgan) of Gates County, Bruce Walter Riddell of Raleigh, Travis Daniel Pierce of Gates County and Quinton Pierce of Hertford; her great grandchildren, Calvin, Ella, Kyla, Michael, Amber, Kaitlyn, Kayla, Hailey, Sierra, Matthew, Jesse and Daniel; her stepchildren, Ricky and Pat; and her granddaughter Mary Beth Matthews. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
