She is survived by: her parents, Austine O. Evans and Ernest L. Evans of Ahoskie; her children, William C. Wood, IV and Caroline Evans Wood of Birmingham, Alabama; her brother E. Bradley Evans (Elizabeth W. Evans); and her nieces and nephews, Meade of Greenville and Clara Evans of Greenville.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Ahoskie (312 Main St, Ahoskie, NC 27910). A reception will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Church Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Evans Family Poteat Scholarship at Wake Forest University, the American Cancer Society, or the charity of the donor's choice.
