She was predeceased by: her parents, Warner Robert and Shirley Simmons Moore; her husband Ashley Warton Thomas; her son John Ashley Thomas; and her siblings, Charles Robert Moore and Norma Jane Ferguson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jeannie Jernigan (Tim) of Windsor, Rachel Askew of Ahoskie and Rebecca Morris (Wilbert) of Kelford; her daughter-in-law Terry Thomas of Canton; and her grandchildren, Cliff Jernigan, Ashley Jernigan, Kim Jernigan, Erin Bunting, Christy Eure, Caitlyn Thomas, Thomas Askew, Lynn Ellis, Ashton Thomas, Reno Thomas, Diana Damon, Dara Barnes, Christine and Megan McClelland. She is also survived by 22 great grandchildren.
