She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Sherwood and Bernice Lassiter Nichols; and her brothers, Dennis, Randolph and Phillip Nichols.
She is survived by: her husband Johnny; her son Jamie Byrum (Heather) of Apex, NC; her grandson Thomas Byrum; her siblings, Alice Cale of Ahoskie, Janice Parker of Winton and Gene Nichols (Eda) of Peabody, MA; her sister-in-law Susan Nichols of Chesapeake, VA; and her nieces and nephews, Kim, Julie, Lori, Amy, Denise, John, Kevin, Todd, Steven and David.
