She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Skinner Mitchell and Mattie Reynolds Mitchell; and her brothers, Ralph Rosenwall, Alfred and Julian Patrick Mitchell.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. James M. Mitchell (Priscilla), Donnell C. Alston (Trina), Shawnee C. Ball, Tommy I. Mitchell (Tasha), Gilbert Reynolds (Jean), Marius Glynn Pinkard (Elizabeth) and Cheryl O. Pinkard; her siblings, Agnes Hall, Janice Henderson (Warren) and Glenn (Lorraine); and her close friends, Fran Jackson and Ella Watford. She is also survived by grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
