It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ronald Wood McSwain of Ahoskie, North Carolina, who passed away on December 19, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Worth and Martha Esther Wood McSwain. He is survived by: his wife Betsy Anne Forbis McSwain; his daughter Esther McSwain Wakefield (William) of Lenoir; his grandson Elijah McSwain Wakefield of Arden; and his sisters, Gail Lancaster (late Mac) of Lawndale and Emily Wicker (Barry) of Concord. He is also survived by four nieces and four nephews.
