He was predeceased by: his father Gordon Bettany; his wife Carol Ann Bettany; and his son Geoffrey Stanton Bettany. He is survived by: his children, Paula Annette Bettany-Patterson (Jason) of Faison, NC, Andrea Bettany of Alamance County, NC and Michael Stanton Bettany (Dawn) of Broadway, NC; and his brothers, Peter Bettany (Carolyn) of Ashbourne and David Bettany (Ann) of Rocester, England. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
